Our Commitment

DevLensPro is built with a privacy-first architecture. All processing happens locally on your machine. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

DevLensPro operates entirely locally. We explicitly do NOT collect:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, address)
  • Browsing history or website content
  • Screenshots or captured element data (stays on your machine)
  • Source code from your projects
  • Analytics or usage tracking data
  • Cookies or tracking identifiers

3. How the Extension Works

Local Mode (Default)

When you click an element, the extension captures DOM information (selector, CSS properties, position) and sends it to your LOCAL MCP server running on localhost:7007. No data leaves your machine.

Cloud Mode (Optional)

If you enable cloud mode to connect to a remote VPS, element data is transmitted via WebSocket through our relay server. The relay only forwards messages and does not store any data. Connection uses anonymous room IDs.

4. Data Storage

All data captured by DevLensPro is stored exclusively on your local machine:

  • Element data is stored temporarily in browser memory
  • Extension settings use Chrome's local storage API
  • Task history (if enabled) is stored in your local MCP server

5. Third-Party Services

DevLensPro does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external communication is:

  • Chrome Web Store for extension updates (managed by Google)
  • Optional cloud relay server for remote development setups

6. Transparency

DevLensPro is committed to privacy and transparency. Our privacy-first architecture ensures all data processing happens locally on your machine. If you have questions about our data handling, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) don't apply in the conventional sense. However, you have full control over your local data:

  • Uninstall the extension to remove all local storage
  • Clear browser data to remove extension settings
  • Stop the MCP server to clear any cached task data

8. Children's Privacy

DevLensPro is a developer tool not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of DevLensPro after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
