Good News

DevLensPro does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. We only use minimal browser storage for essential functionality.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Browser extensions can also use similar storage technologies like localStorage and Chrome's storage APIs to save settings and data.

2. Cookies We Do NOT Use

DevLensPro explicitly does not use:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Advertising or marketing cookies
  • Social media tracking cookies
  • Third-party cookies of any kind
  • Cross-site tracking identifiers

3. Storage We Use

The DevLensPro extension uses the following browser storage technologies for essential functionality only:

Chrome Storage API (Local)

Purpose: Store extension settings

Data stored:

  • - Server connection URL preference (local/cloud)
  • - Keyboard shortcut preferences
  • - UI theme settings
  • - Cloud room ID (if using cloud mode)

Duration: Until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data

Session Storage

Purpose: Temporarily store captured element data

Data stored: Current element selection (selector, CSS, position)

Duration: Cleared when you close the browser tab

4. This Website

The DevLensPro website (devlens.pro) uses minimal storage:

  • Essential only: Theme preference (light/dark mode)
  • No tracking: We do not use Google Analytics or similar
  • No third parties: No advertising or marketing cookies

5. Managing Storage

You have full control over the data stored by DevLensPro:

  2. 2. Select "Options" or "Manage extension"
  3. 3. Click "Clear storage" or use Chrome's extension settings
